About Me

Hi! I hope you enjoy my photo-blog where I post pictures that I took or otherwise rant about photography related topics. I am always looking for a fun public event or interesting spot to photograph so I thought I would share “a few photos” with anybody who might like to look at some pictures or stumbles on here after searching for the same spots and events. I honestly started this thinking nobody would read it but slowly, I’m noticing that the archive of the posts is becoming kind of a photographic history of local events and as I learn to label my photographs here and on my flickr page, more people are using it to find specific pictures of a particular event or site to help with their own photography adventures or just to know what to expect before going somewhere and that makes me smile.

I’ve been in love with photography ever since I remember though I didn’t always have access to a decent camera and did the best with what I could. These days I shoot with a Nikon D610 and various lenses (I prefer high quality zooms but still use primes for certain things) and my phone so I am a kid in a candy store and can’t believe how great quality can come out of these things. I love photographing almost everything from events to portraits. Just a side note, my pictures are my babies so if you want to use something, please contact me on my flickr page (www.flickr.com/users/coogie) or on twitter @coogieex and I will send you my email information so we can discuss terms. 1. Hey Arie! I sure hope you see this. This is Lea, one of the models that worked with you on Saturday. I’d love to use some of the fotografias you shot for my artist website! You took some beautiful shots 🙂 Perhaps we could work more together in the future, as myself and some other musicians I know would love having a couple photographers at upcoming gigs and promo events. I’m a Coog myself, at the Moores School of Music! Please email me whenever you get a moment. Looking forward to hearing from ya!

  2. Arie, I left another message on your 2012 Candlelight Tour page, but I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your work. I’m the director of the vignettes in the houses. Superb job!!
