About Me

Hi! I hope you enjoy my photo-blog where I post pictures that I took or otherwise rant about photography related topics. I’ve been into photography as long as I can remember but made the biggest leap when I got my first DSLR back when the Nikon D40 was released and have been hooked since.

I started this blog as a way to kill time and maybe get a new audience than flickr or instagram since it lets me tell the little stories that went with the photos.  At times I ignore the blog but I still like posting on here.  Unfortunately, in November of 2018, flickr, where i host the photos decided that they would delete all but the last 1000 photos on here and since I have around 11 years’ worth of blogged photos on here, it means that many of my photos will be linking to dead links.  I’m doing my best to change the links but there are many years and I likely won’t catch up and I won’t pay extortion money to keep them hosted. That sucks.

Important note: my pictures are copyrighted and my babies so if you want to use something, please contact me on my flickr page (www.flickr.com/users/coogie) or on twitter @coogieex and I will send you my email information so we can discuss terms.  I don’t want to be “that guy” but sooner or later I WILL find the copyright infringements and everybody acts innocent when I contact them so please, don’t be “that guy” and I won’t be “this guy”. Fair?

  1. Hey Arie! I sure hope you see this. This is Lea, one of the models that worked with you on Saturday. I’d love to use some of the fotografias you shot for my artist website! You took some beautiful shots 🙂 Perhaps we could work more together in the future, as myself and some other musicians I know would love having a couple photographers at upcoming gigs and promo events. I’m a Coog myself, at the Moores School of Music! Please email me whenever you get a moment. Looking forward to hearing from ya!

  2. Arie, I left another message on your 2012 Candlelight Tour page, but I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your work. I’m the director of the vignettes in the houses. Superb job!!
